Jamilah King is a TakePart staff writer covering the intersection of race/ethnicity, poverty, gender, and sexuality. Previously, she was a senior editor at ColorLines, a daily digital news site focused on racial justice issues. Her work has appeared in Fusion, Salon, The Nation, the San Francisco Bay Guardian, The Advocate, Al-Jazeera America, and The California Sunday Magazine.
