Michael Kodas is the associate director of the Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado Boulder and an award-winning photojournalist, writer, and picture editor. He is the author of the best-selling book High Crimes: The Fate of Everest in an Age of Greed and is working on the book Megafire. His writing and photographs have appeared in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and Newsweek and on the CBS Evening News.
