KFC Introduces a Chicken Corsage to Make Your Prom Finger-Lickin' Good

Now a girl can snack on fast food while she's getting her slow dance on.

Forget about searching on Pinterest for prom ideas. KFC has come up with what may be the most original, albeit totally disgusting, take on the traditional corsage: one made of fried chicken.

Yes, you read that correctly, folks. In its latest advertisement the fast-food giant pokes a little fun at that awkward moment when a guy puts an old-school flowered wristband on his prom date while her hovering parents watch. No more worrying over whether a girl will like a corsage of boring baby’s breath: Just add some of Colonel Sanders' secret recipe, and she’ll be head over heels in love with the chicken—er, her date. As you can see in the video above, when a girl gets hungry during the slow dance, all she has to do is snack on her 380-grams-of-sodium-per-drumstick corsage.

Because today’s teens obviously can’t wait to get grease all over their pricey prom dresses, KFC is even offering a chance to purchase one of these chicken corsages. The Louisville, Ky.–based company teamed up with a local florist, Nanz & Kraft, to offer a limited number of the wristbands for sale.

“Chicken not included (duh.),” reads the Nanz & Kraft website. Instead, the $20 corsage kit includes a “$5 KFC gift check, so you can customize your corsage with Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Kentucky Grilled Chicken. Whichever best matches her dress.”

How amazing would it be if some savvy teen poked fun at America's addiction to fast food and matched the KFC corsage with Moschino's McDonald's dress? Yeah, that probably won't happen, so let's hope America's teens steer clear of that fat-packed Extra Crispy corsage, and opt for the relatively healthier grilled choice instead.
