In New Jersey, Vacant Laser Tag Arena Becomes Farm of the Future
AeroFarms is perfecting an innovative approach to growing fresh produce.
NEWARK, N.J.—TakePart went behind the scenes at AeroFarms to find out what it takes to run a huge vertical farm. The company has been harvesting crops—including microgreens and baby arugula—grown in high-tech indoor farms since 2004 and now has seven such facilities, with plans to expand to several new American and international locations in 2017.
